Long ago Sharon was a popular summer vacation spot for it’s Lake Massapoag. While it’s not the summer draw it once was, it’s still a very popular summer spot in the immediate region. There are many youth and adult activities/sports available in Sharon, with the help of the Community Center and Lake Massapoag. Sharon Community Center has a website displaying activity info sponsoring all sorts of stuff throughout the year. There’s over 5000 acres of protected open space in Sharon, featuring the Audubon Moose Hill Sanctuary and Borderland State Park. Sharon has 2 golf courses (private). There’s an annual Sharon Day for all to enjoy, in addition to most holidays the town celebrates. Sharon is currently trying to find additional funding to build a new expansive library. Wards Berry Farm is always a treat to visit too!
