Population
Most would say Sharon is a delightful, aesthetically appealing, quiet affluent town. It’s a large town by land, about 1/2 of it is undeveloped greenspace. Long ago Sharon was a popular summer vacation spot for it’s Lake Massapoag. While it’s not the summer draw it once was, it’s still a very popular summer spot in the immediate region. Traditionally, Sharon residents stay in their homes longer than the average homeowner. Some local and nationally notable people call Sharon home.

Most if not all neighborhoods come with plenty of trees and space. You can find older 1 level ranches to newer 2- level homes over 3000sqft. Sharon has long been a sought after place to live, going all the way back to the mid 1900’s when is was a popular summer retreat. Some homes can be had for $500k range, but those are increasingly rare, many homes and even condos are in the $1mil+ range.
Traffic isn’t much of a concern outside of Rt 27 and South Main st., the towns 2 main roadways. Congestion can happen in afternoons around the town center where those routes meet, and the Rt 27/Washington st intersection on the Sharon/Canton line, because of the shopping plaza and popularity of Washington st.
There are some retail and dining establishments along the main roadways, but beyond that there isn’t much. Local establishments are loved by residents, but it’s not uncommon for residents to travel to dine in Canton, Walpole, or Foxborough.
